Day 3: Bird Flu preparation Plan

24th Nov. We have a private breakfast at Club house at 25th floor of the M Hotel. The place is only exclusive from premium customer (like us, heee…..). Mike check out the hotel morning, earlier than me. Coz he’ll need to catch up a bus at afternoon.

We take a taxi went down to Bugis Junction. It’s a small street market (somewhere like Petaling Street in Malaysia). The environment is all covered by air-con. For those not like sweat, prefer night market price, this is the place you should go. The goods and price in the market is quite fare. I have bought some China-Original-DVD concert for S$10 with 3 discs. Pretty cheap.

Day 2: Bird Flu preparation Plan

23nd Nov, early in the morning, company driver come to hotel and pick me up heading Singapore. Can’t really remember when my last visit (around Form 3 I believe) is.

The driving takes about 2 hour to reach Singapore custom. KC Singapore office is at Springleaf. Springleaf office is one of the state-of-the-art building designs in Singapore. At the ground floor, there actually have a Shell petrol station (damn scary if it really blow up). They really use up all the land space they have.

Springleaf office at Singapore

Once in the office, Mike and I been introduct by Mark to most of our region manager. Although some of them are first meet, we are like knowing them so much (via email).

We left the office around 4pm and Mark led us to M Hotel check in and leaves our luggage. The hotel is just few block away from office and it’s really convenient. To be hounest, this is the most high class hotel I ever check in. Office has provide us club house which at 27th floor (club house, man). To access that lever, we are require to insert door card before select floor. Hotel room rate per night is S$ 250+++ (S$291.38). nice corner view room.

at M Hotel entrance

We have a sea food dinner at Ang Mo Kio. Dame nice the crab there. But bare in mind, crab per KG is S$78. (OH MY GOD….!!!)

After the dinner, Mike and I heading to Orchard Road by Taxi. The Christmas festive atmosphere is every where, every corner. Unfortunately, the time I’m at Singapore is not sales time yet (feel lucky too, coz no need to spend money buys give, haa…)

July 2006 RSC workshop

The mid year RSC workshop was held in Bangkok, Thailand from 27 to 28 July 2006. It is a great opportunity and experience for me to meet several RSC team members.

My flight from KLIA (3:15pm) to Bangkok International Airport takes about 2 hours. After collect my luggage, the hotel limo (an old Volvo) was waiting and travel me to Silom Serene, a boutique hotel. The travel fee for hotel limo is 800 Bht per trip and the room rate is 2000 Bht per night. (Exchange rate is RM98.00 = 1000Bht). The dinner was held at Savoey Restaurant with Ceazar, Paolo, Stan and me.

The training was dividing into two day, which is Network and Customer Service training. Network training was conduct by George Varga, a guy from Australia. He is a very friendly, nice and funny guy. We have many conversations before via phone, email and even Instant Message (hihi…, we bother you so much). The group dinner was held at Anna’s Café.

Second day training is all about Customer (end user) Service. It was conduct by Hugh O’Connell and Brian Sheehan from Plan-IT Consultants Ltd. After the training, we head forward to have dinner. The dinner initial was suggested to be a seafood restaurant. But somehow, we end up at a Chinese restaurant (why am I going to a Chinese restaurant in Thailand? It’s like going to Japan and eat Roti Canai…. weird).

During the time in Bangkok, I manage to go and do some “shopping” around. The three musketeers (Michael, Stan and I) have visit Night Bezzar, and Chatuchak Park. For those who like shopping souvenir, cloth, it really a paradise for it.

Till we meet again... (edited 2nd-Aug-2006)
