July 2006 RSC workshop

The mid year RSC workshop was held in Bangkok, Thailand from 27 to 28 July 2006. It is a great opportunity and experience for me to meet several RSC team members.

My flight from KLIA (3:15pm) to Bangkok International Airport takes about 2 hours. After collect my luggage, the hotel limo (an old Volvo) was waiting and travel me to Silom Serene, a boutique hotel. The travel fee for hotel limo is 800 Bht per trip and the room rate is 2000 Bht per night. (Exchange rate is RM98.00 = 1000Bht). The dinner was held at Savoey Restaurant with Ceazar, Paolo, Stan and me.

The training was dividing into two day, which is Network and Customer Service training. Network training was conduct by George Varga, a guy from Australia. He is a very friendly, nice and funny guy. We have many conversations before via phone, email and even Instant Message (hihi…, we bother you so much). The group dinner was held at Anna’s Café.

Second day training is all about Customer (end user) Service. It was conduct by Hugh O’Connell and Brian Sheehan from Plan-IT Consultants Ltd. After the training, we head forward to have dinner. The dinner initial was suggested to be a seafood restaurant. But somehow, we end up at a Chinese restaurant (why am I going to a Chinese restaurant in Thailand? It’s like going to Japan and eat Roti Canai…. weird).

During the time in Bangkok, I manage to go and do some “shopping” around. The three musketeers (Michael, Stan and I) have visit Night Bezzar, and Chatuchak Park. For those who like shopping souvenir, cloth, it really a paradise for it.

Till we meet again... (edited 2nd-Aug-2006)
